  • Refresh Level: Frequency of head quick cleanings during print. You can choose between Low, Normal, High, and Very High.
  • Scan width: this option allows the user to limit the movement of the printhead carriage to either the printer's full width or only the job's width. You can choose between:
    • Printer: the printhead carriage scans all the printer's width
    • Job: it limits the head scan over the job's width only
  • Left/Right UV panel power: select the UV LED strength of the left/right side UV panel. You can choose between:
    • Panel: uses value configured on the panel
    • Off: turn off UV curing
    • or a preset UV strength: Minimum, Low, Medium, High or Maximum
  • Left/Right UV panel power irradiate during: select when the UV curing will be enabled for the left/right side UV panel. You can choose between:
    • Right to left: UV LED will be turned on when head scans from right to left and turned off otherwise
    • Left to right: UV LED will be turned on when head scans from left to right and turned off otherwise
    • or Both direction: UV led will be turned on when the head scans from left to right and from right to left
  • Enable workchange feature: if enabled, the printer will automatically switch from remote to local after printing one job (or one copy of a job) and will wait until you switch back to remote before sending the next copy/job. This allows you to change media between two prints.

6 colors only:

  • Varnish special effect: in case of Special selected in layer configuration and a Varnish separation defined, this parameter defines a preset for UV curing in order to achieve a special effect with varnish ink. You can select one of the following option:
    • Matte: performs a matte finish with varnish ink
    • or Glossy: performs a glossy effect with varnish ink
  • Under layer: select what ink type should be printed under. If the Under layer is the same as the Top layer, only one layer will be printed. If a special layer is selected, you have to choose the layer separation (where to put the ink) in one of the Spot Ink tabs of the page setup. You cannot enable 2 separations at the same time if 2 special layers have been selected. An error will occur, as this printer can only print one special layer at the time. You can select one of the following option: None, Color or Special
  • Top layer: select what ink type should be printed over.

Media tab

2_Media tab_300px.png

  • Information: at the top of the window, you are able to see information about your media. There you have access to two actions:
    • Save: when you click on this button, the current media settings are saved to the selected media profile (printer, media, resolution, mode) so there will be applied for any new job using the same print configuration. If you don't save, the changes you made are only applied to the current job.
    • Reload: will revert back to default as set during profiling or the last saved changes.
  • Horizontal compensation (%): we recommend not to modify this. Any deviation is likely to be mechanical on the printer's side.
  • Vertical compensation (%): this can be useful if you detect an increase or decrease in the length due to heating or media tension which is common when printing on vinyl or textiles for example. To calculate the compensation, click Compute and follow the software’s instructions.

Adjustment_300px.png

  • Feed adjust: set the media feed adjustment level value. The value 0.00 disables this function (use value set on panel) but a number between -255 and 255 enables it (use selected feed adjustment level). This option is used when you see white lines or darker lines between passes.
  • Wave shape: allows the user to select the waveform, changing slightly the ink drop size and speed.
  • Overprint: this performs additional passes to increase ink density. The user can define the amount of overprint layers with a factor between 1 and 9.
  • Dot type: this function allows the user to select either a variable dot size (Automatic) or any fixed dot size (Large, Medium or Small).
