Send a ColorBook to Print in CalderaColor (Connected workflow)

Use Send to Print in CalderaColor to print a ColorBook imported from CalderaSubmit DTF through Fine-tune.

Before you print

Check Colorbook export destination in Settings → Process Options: exports use this folder without prompting. Clear it to choose a location each time.

Review the generated pages before returning them to the RIP.

Send the ColorBook back to the RIP

  1. Select Send to Print in the export dropdown.
  2. In the RIP's file manager, select the returned ColorBook. In Image Information, the Source field shows CalderaColor:
Image Information row showing Source: CalderaColor.

Insert the ColorBook into the studio

Drag the ColorBook onto the canvas or use the insert action. The Import ColorBook dialog asks whether to clear the studio:

  • Yes: clear the studio.
  • No: keep the current studio contents, including other print jobs, and continue.

Choose the print configuration

If the print destination or settings changed while fine-tuning, a second dialog offers to restore the original configuration:

  • Yes: restore the original destination and settings.
  • No: keep the current destination and settings, for example to test a compatible or similar preset.

The studio-clear and configuration-restore prompts are independent. Answering No to studio clearing preserves existing images; answering No to configuration restoration preserves the current destination and settings. Neither answer cancels insertion.

Print

Check the studio and destination, then print.

  • The RIP automatically disables color management only for the CalderaColor image; other images are unaffected. No manual change is needed.
  • Calibration remains applied: linearisation and ink limits.

Continue with another target color

Follow Get Started → Next Colorbook to fine-tune another target with the same steps and layout preferences.

For an unconnected RIP, use Manual: Export TIFF ZIP instead.
