  Info

The automatic selection of the media according to the job is done at the printer level.

  • Paper Edge Quality: setting that ensures a printing quality. You can choose between:
    • Standard: printing with the 2 printheads
    • Add Top Margin: printing with the 2 printheads and adding a margin at the top
    • Optimize Paper Edge Quality: printing with 1 printhead
  • Cut media. The embedded cutter will separate the job from the roll at the end of print, which is useful for borderless printing, according to the chosen following parameter:
    • Off
    • Cut after print
    • Print line
    • Cut before and after print
    • Cut after print less waste
  • Solid-State Drive use: option to save data in a Disk Drive included in the printer:
    • SSD less operation
    • Save before print
    • Save before print (leave data)
    • Save and print
    • Save and print (leave data)
  • Solid-State Drive folder ID: select the destination folder.
  • Solid-State Drive folder password: enter the password to access the chosen folder (maximum 20 characters).
  • Reduce edge blur: enable this option to reduce blur effect on edges
  • Top margin for profiling: recommended when you create a new profile for the printer. This option adds a white margin to ensure consistent quality of printing.

Advanced parameters

  • Use printer status: the driver will react according to the printer status: wait for the end of the previous print in order to launch a new one, check the job compatibility with the media loaded, etc.
  • Disable warning(s): deactivate information and help messages.

Media tab

  • Information: at the top of the window, you are able to see information about your media. There you have access to two actions:
    • Save: when you click on this button, the current media settings are saved to the selected media profile (printer, media, resolution, mode) so there will be applied for any new job using the same print configuration. If you don't save, the changes you made are only applied to the current job.
    • Reload: will revert back to default as set during profiling or the last saved changes.
  • Horizontal compensation (%): we recommend not to modify this. Any deviation is likely to be mechanical on the printer's side.
  • Vertical compensation (%): this can be useful if you detect an increase or decrease in the length due to heating or media tension which is common when printing on vinyl or textiles for example. To calculate the compensation, click Compute and follow the software’s instructions.

  • Black cartridge: black forcing. You can choose between Photo black or Matte black. If you use a media which already have a reference black, it is not possible to force another black color.
  • Reference media: select a media which must be as close as possible to the real type of media used in order to guarantee an optimal printing quality.

Advanced parameters

  • Ink Density Factor (%): maximum level of ink allowed. Increasing this factor might increase the Gamut but it might also create over-inking issues. This value indicates the absorption capability of the medium being used, and directly impacts the output and ink usage.
