The SPC Panthera JR printers have partial support in older versions of CalderaRIP. To operate them, you must use a generic driver and make specific adjustments. This article outlines the necessary steps.
Download and install the driver
Follow the steps in this article. In step 1, search for the "BYHX-Generic-Large" driver by selecting "Misc" as the manufacturer.
Configuration Steps
- Navigate to Settings Tab > ServerAdmin.
- Select the "BYHX-Generic-Large" driver.
- Click Configure and go to the Resolutions tab:
- The driver requires the following resolutions to be added; any other resolutions can be removed:
- Name or Label: "720x1200-4Pass-3D" (H.Res: "720" and V.Res: "1200")
- Name or Label: "720x600-2Pass-3D" (H.Res: "720" and V.Res: "600")
- The printer driver should be configured as a file printer. In the Connection tab, set the connection type to "File".
- Finally, in the Files tab, point to the printer's network share.
