Custom loading with EasyMedia

EasySelect is the capability for CalderaRIP to use the size and type of loaded media in the printer.

This printer supports 2 levels of selection:

  • CustomLoading: uses a custom size (sheet or roll) defined at last moment in the Print module interface.
  • AutoLoading: uses the size of the media currently loaded in the printer.

Media

This driver comes with only a default media not calibrated.

Modes & Quality

The availability of the CMYK, CMYKR, and CMYKOR modes depends on the ink configuration.

According to the pass selection (Quality), only CMYKR or CMYK modes may be available. For the CMYKOR mode, printing a linearization target and checking the actually printed inks may be necessary.

In general, the pass selection (Quality) possibilities are extensive. Here is the nomenclature of each possible quality:

  • Only the passes: It is a color-only mode (it can be CMYKOR, CMYKR, or CMYK, as explained before)
  • White / White HD: White-only mode
  • Primer: Primer-only mode
  • Matte: Matte varnish (the ink is cured immediately)
  • Gloss: Gloss varnish (the ink curring is deferred, allowing a gloss finish)
  • White -> CMYKXX: Layering with White under colors. Note there are White -> CMYKOrRe, White -> CMYKRe, and White -> CMYK modes
  • CMYKXX -> White: Layering with White on top of colors

Action

Available actions are:

  • Print: This action rips and prints the file simultaneously.
  • RIP: Rips the file and holds it in the Spooler.
  • RIP then Print: Rips the entire file, and then sends the file to print.
  • Nest: This action nests all images sent to the printer and holds them in the Spooler.

Keep Ripped file (only available with "Print" and "Rip then Print" actions). When this box is checked, the sent file remains in the Spooler so you can reprint the job later on.
