Generic DXF cutter driver

Supported models

This generic driver can be used for flatbed cutters compatible with .dxf files

Driver

  • Generic DXF

  Info

CalderaRIP now has two of these generic drivers:

  • Generic DXF.
  • Generic DXF Enhanced: Allows you to manage materials/methods and has some other additional functions.

Driver history

  • CalderaRIP V18.2:
    • Fixed a regression introduced in version 17 that caused the "DXF R14 (Bezier Support)" option to disappear from the software. This option is now available in the Cutter Tools Configuration window and functions as intended.
  • CalderaRIP V17.3
    • A new "Add direction mark" checkbox was added to the Misc. area of the Cutter Tools Configuration for almost all cutting drivers (both GrandCut and VisualCut). Activating this new field adds direction marks in the form of a triangle pointing to the bottom edge of the cut job, which significantly speeds up the operators' work when managing these files
  • CalderaRIP V17
    • Fixed an offset of the origin that caused the coordinates to be negative when forcing rotation.
    • Data rotation of 0 degrees matches the default setting (origin at bottom-left).
  • CalderaRIP V16.3
    • Now the user can choose a Dot, Square, or Cross as the type of cutting marks
    • Additionally, the units of the output .DXF cut files are chosen according to the units of the interface (metric or imperial)
  • CalderaRIP V10.20
    • Driver supported since this version

Recommendations

If your production requires it, you may use third-party software to check measurements. Caldera recommends you use the open-source LibreCad.
