Installation

  Info

In the past, different cutting devices required separate licenses: CutServer for roll-to-roll cutters, GrandCut (A or B) for flatbed cutters, and a cut option for trimmers. This resulted in different installation methods depending on the device.
Today, annual subscribers and perpetual license holders with CalderaCare can use any CalderaRIP‑supported cutting device without an additional license.

  Info

Please refer to this article to have information about the standard features available in the Cutter Tools Configuration window.

Specific features

  • Bottom-right origin: Origin will be placed at the bottom-right position instead of the bottom-left default position to suit your table's orientation

  • CCW auto rotation: Auto-rotation will go in a counter-clockwise direction, rather than clockwise

  • Generate segments rather than Bezier curves: Depending on the type of cutter you have, if it doesn't support Bezier curves, you can generate segments instead.

    • "Dot" (for usual calibration with a camera).
    • "Square".
    • "Cross" (for manual calibration).
  • Output naming: Facilitate your job sorting by changing the format of output filenames.

Recommendations

If your production requires it, you may use third-party software to check measurements. Caldera recommends you use the open-source LibreCad.
