The Studio allows you to preview the result of your printing.
With Caldera Direct-to-Film RIP, you can visualize the print on the transfer paper roll or sheet:
With Caldera Direct-to-Garment RIP, you can visualize the print according to the garment and the pallet:
Insert an image
You can insert one or more images at a time by dragging and dropping them from the File Manager module, or by selecting a Quantity and clicking Insert in the File Manager.

The Studio can contain only one image. If the Studio already contains an image, inserting another image will replace it.
Tips & tricks
You can also drag & drop files directly from your OS file explorer into the Studio! They will also be added to the File manager.
Delete an image
Click on the image in the Studio and press the Delete or Backspace key.
Or, click on the trash icon in the Action bar to clear the Studio and delete all images.
Move an image
Select the image and drag it to a new location. You can also use the arrows on your keyboard.
Warning for DTF users
If you cannot move the images, make sure that Auto Alignment is disabled.
You can use the options in the Modules panel for a more precise alignment with the layout.
Transform an image
Select the image and drag a handle in the bounding box to rotate or scale the image.
Tips & tricks
Hold down Alt (Windows/Linux) or Option (macOS) as you drag to scale relative to the image's center point.
Rulers
Rulers help you accurately place and measure images in the Studio.
- Coordinates are relative to the layout (DTF) or pallet (DTG).
- The origin point is the top-left corner of the layout (DTF) or pallet (DTG), which is identified with a colored corner.
- The position of your cursor is always tracked and coordinates are written at the bottom of the Studio.
Change the orientation of the studio
You can change the orientation of the Studio to match the orientation of the devices in your printshop. This is only a preview, it does not affect the output files.
To do this, simply click on the corners of the Studio (Anchors) to locate the origin point where you want it.
Change the unit
Click right on the ruler to be able to change the unit of measurement.
To change the default unit of the software, go to Settings > Global.
Actions
At the bottom of the Studio, you access different actions:
