To print with special ink, two steps can be followed in whichever order you prefer:
- Define the printing order of the layers through Layer configuration.
- Define where the ink will be put on the area through Ink separation.
Layer configuration
Go into Printer Settings and select the layer configuration that contains the special ink you want to use. This will specify in which order you want to put your layers on the media (e.g. overcoating vs. undercoating).
Good to know
The driver lets you print the same image for up to 3 layers on both sides.
Ink separation
Open the Page Setup of the Print Module Interface, and check for the tab with the ink name that you want to print, then enable ink separation:
You can choose whatever method you want to specify the amount of ink that will be put and where it will be put.
