Driver

  • Epson-SureColor-S9100

Driver history

  • CalderaRIP V19:
    • Revision B:
      • Resolved a crash that occurred when printing in EPSON Precision Dot mode with Color+ as the only layer.
      • Fixed an issue where disk space was not released after ripping multiple copies using the Legacy Multilayer Style.
    • Revision A:
      • Fixed an issue with 2L prints in the "Legacy" Multilayer Style (formerly "Venerable") that caused incorrect configurations of layers when using "Color+" with a quality that allows both White and Color on a single layer.
      • The "Venerable" option in the "Multilayer Style" menu under Printer Settings (  ) has been renamed to "Legacy".

          Info

For new installations, the default setting is "Generic". However, if you update your software and have existing presets, it will default to "Legacy" to avoid production issues.

    • A new "Multilayer Style" menu has been added under Printer Settings (  ). You can now choose between the legacy multilayer method ("Venerable"), which displays the old multilayer options in the same window, and the new method ("Generic"), which does not show options in the Printer Settings. Instead, you must use the Multilayer Manager.
    • This version of the driver introduces support for CalderaRIP's Multilayer Manager and improves the loading of multilayer files prepared in PrimeCenter. Additionally, certain features incompatible with the multilayer manager have been disabled during file loading to minimize the risk of operational errors. Learn more.
  • CalderaRIP V18.1:
    • Revision A: Fixed an issue in the driver where using the Step&Repeat feature resulted in only the first copy being printed, and caused banding when printing white.
  • CalderaRIP V18:
    • Revision A: Internal technical updates.
    • Supported since this version.

        Warning

The initial version of the driver contains a known incompatibility with the printer, which prevents USB functionality on Linux. We are actively working with Epson to resolve this.

  Warning

Network connection and EPSON Precision Dot mode: An IPv4 address is essential for optimal performance. While you can use a hostname (DNS) for dynamic name resolution, an example of this, you must ensure that it resolves to an IPv4 address.

SNMP Protocol

This driver automatically selects the required version of the protocol.

If needed, it is also possible to change the SNMP Protocol version manually (to version 1 or 3, according to your printer settings) thanks to a related field in the Connection tab of ServerAdmin:

  Info

Note that if you configure a device to use SNMP V3, you cannot access it using SNMP V1.

Media synchronization

Also in ServerAdmin, the Serial/Printer name must be filled in with the printer's serial number to connect to the EPSON Edge Dashboard for media synchronization (which can be done subsequently in the EasyMedia module).

See the dedicated article for more information:
