Editing image properties

You can edit the properties of imported images in PrimeCenter through the File manager. This allows you to adjust image size, quantity, cut contours and other properties.

Image information

Prior to V4 Starting from V4

When you select an image in the File manager or the Studio, an information panel appears in the File manager, displaying various details retrieved by the software.

  • File name: Shows the name of the selected file. For multipage files, the current page is shown as "x/n".
  • Import date: Shows the date and time when the file was imported. (added in V4.3)
  • W / H: Width and height of the image. You can modify these values to resize the image.
  • Detected contours: Detects cut contours included in the file from the Cut contours list (formerly "Dictionary"). You can show or hide them in the Studio.

    Starting from V4.5, the color defined in yout Cut contours list is used here to differentiate cut contours in the Studio.

  • Double-sided printing: When you import multipage files, the software automatically links odd pages to even pages, interpreting them as side A and side B for double-sided printing. In this case, the linked page is displayed for information.

    This information has been removed in V4.4 with the introduction of multi-layer printing.

 

Properties

By default, the number of copies is always displayed. If no information is automatically retrieved by the software, it is set to 1 copy. When properties extraction from file names is enabled, the extracted properties are automatically displayed below the number of copies.

Additionally, you can manually add or remove properties by clicking   Manage properties.
 

  • Copies: Defines the number of copies of the image. 
  • Customer ID: Identifies the customer.
  • Order ID: Specifies the order number.
  • Job ID: A unique identifier for the job.
  • Job name: The name assigned to the job for printing.
  • Gang name: Groups multiple files under a common gang.
  • Sequence: A number defining the nesting order, used for sorting.

    Available only in Pro and Max packages.

  • Comments: A free text field for additional notes.

 

Editing image placement in the Studio

  Good to know

Make sure the layout is unlocked if you want to change the placement of an image.

When an image is selected in the Studio, you can manually adjust its placement on the media:

  • X / Y : Adjust the coordinates to change the image’s position.
  •  : Rotate the image by entering an angle in degrees.

 

The software can reuse imported file information to group images or define nesting rules. For more details:
