License management
- License Updates: Regular Internet access is essential for updating the digital license for Caldera products. Ensure a connection to the site ems.caldera.com through port 443 for these updates. Learn more.

Client/Server Configuration: For client/server setups of Caldera licenses, make sure that port 1947 is accessible within the local network.

Only the license server requires Internet connectivity for updates; the license client do not need Internet access but must connect to the license server. Learn more.
CalderaDock
CalderaDock requires Internet access for full functionality, and it needs access to ports 80 and 443 when connecting to the following domains:

CalderaRIP
The following information details the network installation requirements for CalderaRIP only on Linux, as macOS does not require Internet access.
There is no distinction between light and full installation packages regarding Internet access.
Debian 10.2 and Ubuntu
No Internet connection is necessary for installing CalderaRIP, as all required components are included in the installation package.
However, newer versions post-Debian 10.2 may require Internet access; please see below for details.
Debian 8 and 9
An Internet connection is required for installing CalderaRIP. To facilitate this, ensure:

Ping Availability. Test connectivity to:
- 8.8.8.8 (primary)
- 114.114.114.114 (secondary, if the primary fails)
- deb.debian.org
- Repository Access. Please see below for details.
The following information may be necessary if you have a firewall installed on your Caldera computer or if a router is managing access between your Caldera computers and printers.
Internet connectivity is not required; local network access suffices.

EasyMedia, remote EasyMedia, remote ServerAdmin, remote Print Modules (for distant ripping), and SuperSpooler:
- All these modules and components of CalderaRIP are managed using the RPC (Remote Procedure Call) protocol, which automatically allocates ports.
- TCP ports in the range of 1024-65535 should be open.
- Sync&Deploy: Port 8080.
- Synchronization with the Zünd Cut Center: Port 51000.
- Synchronization with HP Printers: Ports 80, 443, 8080, 8085, 8086, 8090, and 9100.
- Synchronization with Epson Edge Dashboard: Port 30561.
PrimeCenter and Caldera Direct-to-X RIP

While this article focuses on network ports necessary for our web applications and main product, it's important to note that API ports connect your software to other external services. Managing both types of ports will help you maintain effective performance across all your Caldera products.
New Caldera products like PrimeCenter and Caldera Direct-to-X RIP require specific API ports to function properly. When testing multiple Caldera software at the same time, experienced operators might need to adjust these API ports to avoid issues and ensure smooth operation.
Finally, please note that some connection ports can also be edited through the configuration files:
- For cutters (PrimeCenter):
- Path in macOS: /private/var/calapisvc/cutters
- File: cutters.xml
- For printers (Caldera Direct-to-X RIP):
- Path in macOS: /private/var/caldera-direct-to-X-calapisvc/public/device
