-ML drivers (available since V19)
  • Print vertical line: Prints a vertical line alongside the jobs.
  • Use High Contrast white for Epson Precision Dot: Should be used when the White layer is used as a separation between two faces (with a transparent media for example)
  • (Only in main drivers) Top/Normal/Bottom layers: See the dedicated chapter in the Spot Inks and Multilayer article.

Advanced parameters

  • Use status for job management: the driver will react according to the printer status: wait for the end of the previous print in order to launch a new one, check the job compatibility with the media loaded, etc.
  • EpsonHTM threads: used to do parallel computation when EPSON Precision Dot mode is in use. If you set too many threads, the printing process may slow down. Leave this value to its default, or try for yourself if increasing the number of threads increases the speed. Everything will be specific to your workstation.
  • Dot Size: if not Automatic, the drop size is forced to use Small, Medium or Large drops.

Media tab

  • Information: at the top of the window, you are able to see information about your media. There you have access to two actions:
    • Save: when you click on this button, the current media settings are saved to the selected media profile (printer, media, resolution, mode) so there will be applied for any new job using the same print configuration. If you don't save, the changes you made are only applied to the current job.
    • Reload: will revert back to default as set during profiling or the last saved changes.
  • Horizontal compensation (%): we recommend not to modify this. Any deviation is likely to be mechanical on the printer's side.
  • Vertical compensation (%): this can be useful if you detect an increase or decrease in the length due to heating or media tension which is common when printing on vinyl or textiles for example. To calculate the compensation, click Compute and follow the software’s instructions.

  Info

This function is not available when choosing Epson Precision Dot.

  • Material: Select the reference media that is the closest to the current media. The reference media contains predefined settings you can use to set your media parameters.
  • Slot: Choose the slot number that contains the adjustments for your media.
  • Feed adjustment: This setting can be used in case of banding issues (horizontal striped lines or uneven colors) because of media stretch. You can enter values from -1 to 1.53%.

      Recommendation

We strongly advise you to set this directly on the printer using the dedicated wizard.

  • Drying time (in seconds): Sets the time in seconds allowed for the page to dry (max 3600 seconds).

Advanced parameters

  • Ink Density Factor (%): Maximum level of ink allowed. Increasing this factor might increase the Gamut but it might also create over-inking issues.
  • Ink Density Factor White/Metallic (%): Sets the White/Mettalic vardot level in percentage.

Comments tab

On this tab you can see comments coming from the EasyMedia module. It can include comments from the global media window and from the profile project window.
