Additional options

Custom materials and methods

You can use custom materials and methods. This feature is accessible from the cutter configuration in Settings > Cutters tab by importing an XML file containing the list of materials and methods you require. Then, you can select the custom material in the Cutter options module, and the associated methods will be automatically retrieved. Here is an example of an XML file: CalderaXML_defaultMaterials.xml

Using Caldera XML drivers with PrimeCenter and CalderaRIP

When using PrimeCenter with the Caldera XML driver, a default list of materials and methods is included.

If you are also using the Caldera XML driver with CalderaRIP, it does not include default materials and methods. You need to create them manually to ensure the correct methods are applied to each contour. For more details on how to configure the Caldera XML driver in CalderaRIP, including how to create materials and methods, see this article.

If you have created custom materials and methods in CalderaRIP, you can export your configuration as an XML file and import it into PrimeCenter. For more information about exporting the configuration from CalderaRIP, see this article.

🔄 Synchronize media and materials

You can automatically associate media and materials when they have matching names.

  1. Go to Settings > Cutters tab.
  2. Hover over the configured Caldera XML cutter in the list. Click   then Synchronize.

When synchronized, you can manually adjust the associations in the Media tab if needed.

Methods and contours association

In Cutter options, for a chosen material, you need to associate methods with contours.

  Good to know

  • It is mandatory to associate at least one method to a contour to run the recipe.
  • You can associate a method with multiple cut contour names!
  • Cut contours that are not associated with a method will not be exported.
