Quality

There are two categories of qualities: unidirectional and bidirectional. Bidirectional means that the head prints during both passes. With unidirectional quality, the head prints a stripe and then moves back to its original position before printing the next stripe.

The level number represents the number of passes done by the head on one printed stripe. The level number represents the number of passes the head makes on one printed stripe. The higher the pass number, the higher the quality.

The number and characteristics of the levels vary depending on the chosen quality.

Changing a profile generated with CMYK8 mode

Profiles created with the CMYK8 mode must be changed. CMYK8 is the former name of the Epson raster mode. To remain available, it must be replaced by EpsonHTM CMYK modes. Follow this procedure to modify the profiles without performing additional calculations or taking target measurements:

  1. Open EasyMedia and select your Epson SureColor S30600, S50600, or S70600 device.
  2. Double-click your media to open its profile list.
  3. Select your profile, then click Edit.
  4. Change the profile mode according to the following rule: Use EpsonHTM CMYK cmkO or CMYKcmko for S70600 mode.
  5. Click OK to save the change. A message will appear informing you that changing the profile printing mode is not recommended. Click Yes to confirm the change and finish.
  6. (Optional) Repeat these steps for every media with profiles using the CMYK8 mode.

Action

Available actions are:

  • Print: This action rips and prints the file simultaneously.
  • RIP: Rips the file and holds it in the Spooler.
  • RIP then Print: Rips the entire file, and then sends the file to print.
  • Nest: This action nests all images sent to the printer and holds them in the Spooler.

Keep Ripped file (only available with "Print" and "Rip then Print" actions). When this box is checked, the sent file remains in the Spooler so you can reprint the job later on.
