To print with spot inks, two steps can be followed in whichever order you prefer:
- Define where the ink will be put on the area through Ink separation.
- Define the printing order of the layers through Layer configuration.
Ink separation
Open the Page Setup of the Print Module Interface, and check for the tab with the ink name that you want to print, then enable ink separation:
You can choose whatever method you want to specify the amount of ink that will be put and where it will be put.
Info
If the printer is equipped with a CMYKcmWW (double white) ink set, there is no need to modify the default ink order or special ink driver settings. The ink order should remain disabled, and the settings for the White and Varnish spot nks should keep as they are. When selecting the white separation, the printer will utilize the double white inks.
