Devices and presets: Devices not included in your license will no longer be displayed during device creation. Additionally, the manufacturer value selected in the device editor has been corrected for licenses without an assigned driver.

Devices and presets:

• New White settings area, including:
  • (White) Strategy.
  • Minimal / Maximal white.
  • White amount.
  • White as transparency (and its threshold).
  • Spread (+) / Choke (-).
  • Smart choke (and its threshold).
  • Opacity reduction coefficient.
• It is now possible to easily edit a device, a media, or a format with a new   edit button.
• Finally, the preset configuration section now includes a new description field.

• Now it is possible to switch between removing a color from the whole image or only from an area when using Knockout.
• Added a new feature that allows you to modify the luminosity, saturation, and hue of each image used in the Studio.

Modules panel / Spot colors: A new Spot Color module allows you to check and map the spot colors present in your TIFF files. For each spot color, you can decide between:

• Ignore it before printing:
  • This option is limited to the supported channels and automatically activated for those named: “Cut”, “Contour”, or “Die” (regardless of the letter case).
• Simulate the spot color:
  • From its process inks (you can customize the ink percentage).
  • From its Lab values (comes pre-configured with the 50 most commonly used Pantone colors), you can adjust the Lab values and get a color preview in the user interface.
• Assign a direct blend or total overwrite of the ink channel.

You can also:

• Use the included search bar to filter spot colors by name.
• Use the   button, to reset the channel mapping selection to the initial best-guess value.

Other key benefits:

• Seamless support for non-UTF-8 and special-character spot color names.
• White spot colors from other Caldera products are recognized.

Studio:

• You can now rearrange nested images by dragging and dropping them as needed directly in the Studio, allowing you to manually optimize the media.
• We added the option “Don't show this popup again” to the confirmation dialog that appears when attempting to clear the Studio, to minimize the number of clicks for the daily routine.

• Improved the display of the white undercoat while in Layer Preview. 
• To minimize clicks, Layers Preview now regenerates automatically when changing the presets and/or image settings, and automatically displays them again (if they were displayed before).

• Overall improvement of raster image processing speed, especially when using printing modes with white ink.
• This version includes two orientation guides within the application, on the first use and auto-alignment.
• Improved software interpretation of shortcuts to be more consistent across operating systems.
• Overall improvement of the behavior of the input unit component. It is now possible to open the context menu by right-clicking anywhere in the input.
• Auto-alignment is now activated by default on the first launch.

• Removed an extra dot from the exported file name of the ICC profiles and linearization curves.
• The Lab values displayed on the measurement curves after the completion of a linearization measurement have been corrected.

• We fixed a problem that could occur when loading TIFF files with transparencies, generating a blank thumbnail, or causing the transparency to be lost.
• Fixed an error that could occur when opening several PDFs simultaneously.

• Fixed a bug in the Adjustments section, which did not load correctly after applying changes to the preset.
• Fixed a resolution limit in the rasterizer when processing jobs with highly resized PDF files, resolving issues that prevented these jobs from being printed or previewed.
• Fixed a bug that caused Layers Previews' spinner to spin infinitely, making Layers Previews inaccessible.

• When the "Keep aspect ratio" function is turned off and the image is scaled, the image is no longer stretched in the opposite direction from what is intended.
• We fixed the bug that caused the wrong printing of transparent images with color adjustments (although the layer preview looked correct). Now these images can be color-adjusted and, when printed, the transparent areas will have no ink at all.
• The alignment of all inputs to the right in the image module panel has been corrected.
• Fixed a bug where the Knockout could not be applied to CMYK 16-bit JPEG files.

Studio:

• Auto-alignment is no longer disabled when moving an image in the Studio.
• Fixed a bug that did not allow the Studio anchors, located at the four corners of the Studio, to work correctly.

  These anchors are useful for rotating the Studio view.

• Fixed a bug that prevented the “About MnR Quatro RIP” modal window from opening in Windows.
• We corrected a typo in the plural of medium (which is "media" and not "medias").
• We have corrected two behaviors of the fields allowing numeric values:
  • Now you can add decimal values without the software rounding them erroneously or confusing them with another metric unit.
  • The software also allows you to enter numbers starting with a decimal point (no need to write a zero before).

Installation: This update brings a new color profile that will help produce more vibrant colors and better flesh tones, enhancing your overall experience.

File Manager:

• Fixed a bug that caused the “Insert” button and the image quantity input to be hidden when having many images in the File Manager or when displaying the details of one of them.
• It is now possible to delete an image from the File Manager while it is selected in the Studio, without any error being displayed.

Print: Fixed a timeout in the printer driver that caused errors when ripping files took too long (now ripping will continue without a timeout).

Devices and Presets: Added default values to device/preset forms to speed up new device/preset creation.

Color Management:

• Fixed the white line recognition in linearization targets by adding a black separator at the last patch.
• Fixed a regression that caused the software to crash after completing a print from the linearization modal.
• Reactivated the ink duplication in the CustomInkset selector.

Destination & Print tracking:

• Fixed a bug that caused an error of “unsupported rotation angle” when generating certain print previews.
• Correction of an error that caused images to rotate at 270° to be cropped when printed.

Devices and Presets: Fixed the name generation for a duplicated preset (for any driver).

File Manager:

• Fixed the display of the number of times an image is present in the Studio.
• Fixed a regression that caused a random error when importing images.

Global Settings.

• Auto Alignment: Now images are correctly positioned on the margins, regardless of the alignment selected.
• Studio: Now the selection you have made for "Images mirroring", which allows images to be displayed in one direction or the other depending on your printer controller, remains saved after restarting the application.

Medias and Formats: Fixed the refreshing of the media list when importing media. 

Studio:

• Correction of the auto-alignment behavior, which now remains active even when an image is deleted from the Studio.
• The width of the lines for the margins is the same for all lines.
• Now, changing the format of the selected roll when there are already images in the Studio does not reset to the default and does not delete the images.
• Fixed a bug causing the Studio to not be refreshed after updating the format in the configuration panel.
• Finally, now the images don’t overlap, no matter the image rotation or the alignment.
• Fixed a bug causing layer preview generation to always fail.

User Experience:

• Fixed the missing translation for global settings.
• Fixed the error message that appeared when the user tried to use a percentage in the unit fields of the Global settings, to make it more readable and clearer.
• Fixed a bug causing the software to be unable to start if the configuration file is empty.

Configuration: Fixed a bug that causes the print of a rotated image to have shifted lines in the result.

Destination:

Fixed a bug that caused an error when printing with a very specific image ratio (the Preview or Print had 0 lines to produce at the end of it).

In the adjustments, fixed a couple of issues when Spreading or Choking white undercoat ink following optimizations.

In the adjustments, fixed a regression following optimizations that caused the white undercoat ink values to not be updated when printing in 1, 2, or 4 bits.
